Our boarding kennels is owned and run by Tommy and Karina Brennan MVB (qualified Veterinary Surgeon) and is operating to the highest possible standards.

Karina gives all the dogs a veterinary check twice a day and this ensures your dog will always have prompt attention if required.
Our on site veterinary clinic caters for everything from vaccinations to neutering, microchipping to dental treatments so feel free to avail of any of these services while you are away.
We do have a very strict policy regarding vaccinations.
All dogs must be up to date with their yearly vaccinations including Kennel Cough and must have the certificates to prove this. If your dog is not up to date, don’t worry - we can arrange to have them done in our Clinic.
Home comforts
Our policy at PetsFirst is to provide a clean, warm, comfortable environment for the dogs while they are staying here and to give them as much human contact as possible, creating a routine, which they quickly become used to, and learn to enjoy while they are staying here.
We ensure each dog gets plenty of attention from our fully trained animal loving staff and to ensure as comfortable a routine as possible we will follow your specific instructions re feeding etc to the letter.
Each individual kennel consists of an indoor sleeping area, which is fully tiled and insulated. All kennels have underfloor heating so the dogs are cosy and warm even on the coldest winters day.
Each kennel has a private exercise area which is fully covered and this allows each dog to have access to the open air even when its raining.
Our 3 large exercise yards are fully concreted and surrounded by secure fencing and each dog gets 15 minutes exercise twice a day GUARANTEED. During this time we throw a ball or a stick, walk them on a lead or simply give them the attention they crave!
We leave a radio playing in the background and this leaves the dogs completely relaxed and at ease.
Feeding and Bedding
We feed a high quality complete dry dog food (and wet food if requested). If your dog is on a special diet, just bring it along. We also cater for dogs on any type of medication at our kennels, including diabetics.
All dogs in our boarding kennels are fed twice daily.
We use Vetbeds and fleece blankets as bedding and these are washed and dried daily, but owners are more than welcome to bring in their dog's own favourite bedding, toys and treats.
Security
PetsFirst boarding kennels has electric gates at the entrance which are closed after – hours.
It is fully equipped with an intruder alarm and security cameras.
The entire building is bordered with a security fence.
The kennels are designed to ensure no dog can escape. Each pen is roofed in mesh and security corridors surround the whole building.
We comply with all fire regulations and the entire boarding kennels is fitted with smoke detectors and a fully operational fire alarm. The premises is also fully insured.
We have left no stone unturned when it comes to the safety of your pet while boarding at our kennels.
Type of Dog
We cater for all breeds, shapes and sizes of dogs in our boarding kennels, from the Minature Poodle to the Great Dane. We also welcome all breeds including Doberman, German Shephards, Rottweilers etc.
All ages of dogs are catered for including the very young and the very old, and we will give them any extra care that they need.
Our kennels are of various sizes and you can choose the one that suits your dog.
Viewing
Clients are very welcome to come and view our kennels before you confirm your booking – just give us a ring and we will be delighted to show you around.
Other Facilities
Grooming:
Why not treat your dog to some pampering before he goes home?? Our grooming service allows you to choose from a simple wash and blow dry to a full cut and style – just let us know when booking and we will organise it all!
Veterinary:
Thinking of getting your dog neutered or microchipped but just never got around to it?? Why not book him/her into our Veterinary Clinic while boarding and we will provide all the after care he/she needs at no extra cost!!
Pet Food:
We stock high quality dog food and will give you free advice on how and what to feed your dog to maintain him/her in top condition.
Flea and Worm Treatments:
Just let us know and we will treat your dog for fleas and worms while you are away.
